This evening on E-TV news they had a story from the Medical Research Council stating that AIDS was far worse than Stats SA had led everyone to believe. Stats SA is, to my knowledge, the Government statistics dept. It has appeared to me for many years that Govt statistics here are fudged. The Medical Research Council came out with a report stating that the Stats SA figures were completely wrong and that AIDS deaths were the leading cause of death in South Africa. Stats SA had said that AIDS was only the 11th most serious cause of death in S.Africa!! There was film footage of a black Professor at MRC who was putting out this info. The professor stated that AIDS was wiping out people in the age group 20-30. He said that AIDS was probably one of the worst crises this country has ever had to face. For years Jeff Rense and I have been discussing this very fact. In the past I put on my website the detailed analysis by Dr Jan Du Plessis wherein he said that AIDS would change the face of South Africa completely. Sadly, I cannot find a news report on any of the major Africa news websites which mention the report by the Medical Research Council. Maybe something will be available tomorrow… Jan |
