[Looks like black-on-black crime. Jan] Johannesburg – A 30-year-old Tembisa woman is in hospital after being shot during a car hijacking in Vosloorus, East Rand police said on Thursday. Police spokesperson Sergeant Prudence Mvelase said the woman had gone to visit her uncle on Wednesday evening when she was attacked. “The woman had gone to visit her uncle at Extention 25 in Vosloorus. When she arrived there, she was told he had gone to visit a friend in the same area,” said Mvelase. While she was on her way to her uncle’s friend, a group of unknown men opened fire on her, wounding her in the leg and forcing her to stop. “They forced her out of the vehicle and fled in her car,” Mvelase said. She was taken to hospital where she is in a stable condition. Mvelase said police found the stolen vehicle abandoned at Extension 25 in Vosloorus at about 22:15. No arrests have been made yet.
