Are Namibian Elections Free and Fair?

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Are Namibian Elections Free and Fair?

[I received this Press Release from Namibia from a group called: Monitor Action Group, which is chaired by: Mr J.W.F. Pretorius. This is their Press Release for 7th February 2005 which shows that they do not believe Nambian elections are free and fair. The Monitor Action Group can be contacted at this email address: [email protected] Jan]

PRESS RELEASE

During a Management Committee meeting of Monitor Action Group, on 4 February 2005, it was decided to again confirm MAG™s viewpoint on free and fair elections in Namibia.

MAG believes that the continuous appeals by Government to the public to assist in exposing crime, corruption and irregularities, are also applicable to elections. Therefore MAG would have resented the COD, RP and other political parties and organisations if they had not had the courage and conviction to have come forward in presenting any evidence on this issue. This, above all and especially because MAG could not appoint any observers as part of it’s election strategy, entirely as a result of a shortage of money.

Consequently MAG itself does not have any evidence of faulty/irregular election procedures that could succeed in a court of law and could possibly change the outcome of the last election.

MAG believes it is a pity that a generally acceptable definition of a “free and fair” election does not exist. In the sense of “peaceful” MAG is thankful for the general spirit of the public in which the past election took place. “Fair” in the sense of a dictionary explanation of “satisfactory”, “adequate” or “abundant” is something different. For the past 15 years MAG has been convinced that, as a result of political decisions, privilege and existing legislation, no election was fair on the grounds of, for example, the formula of partyfunding by the State and the stipulations for the registration of the electorate. In this respect the playing field is absolutely uneven.

The electoral procedures, according to the existing law, which is applicable in Namibia, is, to the best of our knowledge, are not applicable in any democratic country anywhere else in the world. Even the question whether it could be constitutionally correct, has never been judicially justified.

Therefore MAG welcomes and supports any judicial and peaceful action to rectify this dubious procedure.”
