[Despicable – just for 2 cell phones!! Jan] Caledon – A woman was killed and her husband wounded when they were attacked while asleep in their bedroom at Pringle Bay, Kleinmond, Western Cape police said on Monday. Police spokesperson Captain William Reid said the couple were both in their early fifties. The man awoke from pain in the early hours of Friday morning and found he was bleeding from a wound to his neck. He saw his wife also had a wound to her neck. She was already dead. The man heard a vehicle driving away and discovered that his bakkie was gone. Two cellphones were missing from the house. The man went to his neighbours, who helped him call the police. Police are investigating a case of murder, attempted murder, housebreaking and theft and theft of a motor vehicle. The bakkie was found in Kleinmond later on Friday.
