[My sources in the Middle East tell me that Abbas, who is going to take Arafat’s place… is GRU-trained. GRU=Russian Military Intelligence – which is more professional than the KGB… really top-notch stuff. This “terrorist in a suit” is no different to say, Mugabe, who is also a terrorist in a suit… Note… some say Abbas is actually even more violent than Arafat… but he dresses nicely, has good manners, appears cultured, etc… yet… he is hell bent on murdering Israeli Jews… and using violence to further his political aims…

Therefore… don’t expect the “road to peace” in the Middle East to be anything other than a fake peace… like we have in Southern Africa… and it is really all about putting a SOVIET PUPPET into a position of power. Safed Mayor: I’ll Block Terrorist Abu Mazen From City

Terrorism survivor and Safed Mayor Yishai Maimon said his city is out of bounds to the PA leader whom he said was behind the terrorist attack in Maalot in 1974 in which 22 children were murdered.

Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas), the interim Palestinian Authority president who is expected to be elected to that position in the PA elections Sunday, said this week he wants to visit Safed, where he was born.

Maimon, who was in the 1lth grade when terrorists attacked the school in the Galilee, near Safed, stated he will physically keep Abu Mazen out of the city if he tries to enter. The mayor termed the PA leader “worse than Arafat.”

Recalling the brutal murders of school children, Maimon said, “I was a student in the 11th grade and my brother was in the 10th grade class. There was a warning that a terrorist gang was circulating in the area, causing us to sleep in the Nativ Meir school in Maalot. No one thought that the gang infiltrating into Israel also would get [to the school] and cold bloodedly murder 22 school children.”

Maimon was held hostage by the terrorists and was the liaison in negotiations between terrorists and defense forces. “I still hear the echo of gunshots and screams of my friends,” he recounted.

“Abu Mazen is responsible for sending the terrorists to commit the murders in Maalot. I will block his entry” into Safed, the mayor asserted. “The man is a murderer with Jewish blood on his hands and hides under the disguise of a peddler of peace. It is important that the people of Israel know with whom we want to make peace. He is worse than Arafat.”

In the early 1990s, Abu Mazen tried to visit Safed, but the city’s residents demonstrated boisterously while he was headed for the city. He changed his course and visited Haifa where he was welcomed by the mayor, Amram Mitzna, who now wants to lead the Labor party on a platform of moving Jewish communities out of Judea, Samaria and Gaza (Yesha) and creating a new Arab state.

“In another two years we will see peace in the entire region,” Abu Mazen told Mitzna during his visit.
