I have been told that not all the torture photos are bogus. Although WorldNetDaily ran a story along those lines. My Middle East sources tell me that there are lots of genuine torture photos too. Either way… George Bush’s apology to the Arabs won’t cut it with them… now they have more reason to hate Americans than before. My view is, that just like with us whites and blacks in Africa… where our “hearts and minds” failed us… so too… will America’s belated attempts at winning the Arab/Islamic hearts and minds fail as well. The hatred which was fueled over a long period of time… cannot be wiped away like this. Americans will have to face the fact that they’re hated and can’t make the enemy like them… and just live with it. Terrorism will only be beaten through warfare and fighting – not through talks, and not through kindness – but through force. And torture (for the right reasons e.g. Intelligence)… really has a role to play. Jan |
