[This is an example of blacks taking the law into their own hands. They killed a thief – because they have no faith in the law. Now the law goes after them. Jan] East London – Seven men were arrested after a man was beaten to death in Mdantsane, police said on Wednesday. Inspector Stephen Marais said on Tuesday night a man had taken a cow which did not belong to him. Members of the community saw the incident and assaulted the man. They then took him to the house of the owner of the cow, where they continued the assault. The man died at the scene.
