Winnie Mandela’s Soweto fortress robbed of R4 million

I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

[Its not a big deal really. These ANC-linked blacks have so much money that R4 million is pretty small change for them. Jan]

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has become the latest high-profile South African to be hit by crime, with thieves making off with jewellery worth R4-million from her Orlando West, Soweto, home.

The former African National Congress Women’s League president is said to be “distressed” after the burglary at her fortress-like home in Mtipa Street, with suspicions being raised that the theft was an inside job.

Madikizela-Mandela returned from Chicago on Monday night, where she had addressed the St Sabena Faith Community in celebration of Black History Month in the United States, only to discover that thieves had made off with two of her safes and tampered with a third.

‘It had to be an inside job’

Soweto police spokesperson Captain Jacqueline Mbatha said several of Madikizela-Mandela’s relatives had stayed in the house during her trip to Chicago.

“Winnie Madikizela-Mandela arrived home on Monday at about 9.30pm and discovered that the safes were missing. Police on the scene said she was quite distressed by the discovery. There was no sign of a break-in and there have been no arrests as the investigation is still in the early stages,” said Mbatha.

Madikizela-Mandela has opened a case of theft at Orlando police station.

A spokesperson for Madikizela-Mandela said there was no sign of forced entry, and other than the contents of the safes, nothing else seemed to have been taken from the house.

It’s a mystery, however, as to just how the robbers gained entry to her home, which is protected by on-site security personnel, CCTV cameras, high walls and dogs.

‘You just can’t go into Winnie’s house’

There was a strong security presence when a team from The Star visited the house in the plush neighbourhood of Orlando West on Tuesday.

Within minutes of arriving outside the house, security personnel wearing dark glasses and earpieces approached The Star team and told them to leave.

CCTV cameras were visible at the gate and a camera on the roof of the house was trained on the garden. The house is surrounded by a wall about 2,5m high.

Minibus taxis loaded with sightseeing tourists drove past the house but didn’t stop for them to take photographs.

Orlando West is also known as “Beverly Hills” because of its affluence and the celebrities who live there.

While married to Nelson Mandela, Madikizela-Mandela lived in the nearby Vilakazi Street, the road in which Desmond Tutu also once stayed.

Duduzile Mabandla, Madikizela-Mandela’s neighbour, said residents in the area were surprised by the robbery.

“It had to be an inside job. Somebody must ask those security guards, they must know,” Mabandla said.

Another neighbour, Minah Khoza, said: “We don’t get a lot of crime around here.

“And you just can’t go into Winnie’s house, as there is so much security there.”
