Mbeki and bankers discuss crime campaign

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

President Thabo Mbeki met bankers on Tuesday to discuss the intent of the cancelled anti-crime advertising and letter-writing campaign by First National Bank (FNB).

The banking delegation was made up of representatives of the FirstRand group, which owns FNB.

“We had a constructive meeting, and we would like to believe that both government and FNB have a better understanding of each other’s position on crime,” FNB spokesperson Xolisa Vapi said afterwards.

“Going forward, FNB will accelerate its nation building initiatives in a constructive manner that complements ongoing efforts by government and organised business to address the complex issue of crime,” read a brief statement.

FNB withdrew the controversial multi-million rand campaign at the last minute on February 2 after meeting government officials.

At the time Mbeki said he did not know why certain business leaders decided to act outside structures such as the Presidential Big Business Working Group and Business Against Crime.

Mbeki has said the controversy, which has been widely debated in the media, would not compromise the government’s partnership with business leadership in building the country. – Sapa
