‘They flew like broken dolls’

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Cape Town – No arrests had been made yet in connection with the deaths of two British tourists hit by a car near Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront, said police on Sunday.

Patrick and Jean McQuillen, of High Hurstwood, East Sussex, were hit by a car apparently while walking back to their guesthouse in Tamboerskloof after their rental car had broken down, said police and emergency workers.

A motorist waiting to turn right into Buitengracht Street on Friday night at about 19:15 saw the accident happen in front of him.

“A car came speeding down Buitengracht Street in the middle lane and through the intersection. Cars in the lanes on either side already had stopped for the light.

“There was a loud thump, screeching brakes and I saw two figures, like life-size broken dolls, go flying into the air to about the height of a double-decker bus.

‘Shattered limbs and death’

“They thudded down into the road and lay deathly still.

“The car juddered to a halt and the driver got out and looked around at the bodies dazedly.

“Then the lights changed to green and we were forced to move forward and onward, leaving behind a scene of shattered limbs and what surely was sudden death.”

Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman said both victims had massive blunt-trauma injuries and were declared dead at the accident.

While the driver was not injured, his woman passenger had lacerations and contusions and was taken to Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital where she was in a stable condition, said Dollman.

The Times Online website reported that McQuillen, 66, was a retired banker and his wife, Jean 56, had worked part-time at an estate agency in East Sussex and served on Buxted parish council.

The website reported that the couple are believed to have flown to South Africa about a month ago and were due to return on February 27.

McQuillen, who had a son, John, from a previous marriage, worked for Lloyds TSB for 34 years and later served as managing director of an offshore subsidiary of HBOS.

He was also a former non-executive director of Eurocopy, an office equipment firm.

‘Saw the car coming’

Lulamile Ltlokwana, who saw the collision, said the driver braked so hard that his tyres were smoking but he could not stop in time.

“He went through the red light and hit a man and woman trying to cross the road.

“They saw the car coming, but I think they got such a shock that they froze…

“I think they were killed right away – there was no way they could have survived that.”
