S.Africa: Prisoners to vote

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: Prisoners to vote

[The ANC loves criminals. They even made it legal for them to vote. Imagine: murderers, rapists, armed robbers, etc get to vote. BUT, the fact that the ANC pushed so hard for their “voting rights” some years ago, no doubt indicates WHO the criminal scum will be voting for. I’m sure there’s a message in this when the CRIMINALS vote for the ANC. Jan]

Johannesburg – Prisoners sentenced without the option of a fine will also be allowed to vote in the general election in April, the Constitutional Court ruled on Wednesday.

Last month the court heard an application by the SA Institute for Crime Prevention and the Reintegration of Offenders (Nicro) and two prisoners serving sentences without an option of a fine.

They argued that an amendment to the Electoral Act promulgated in December 2003 violated two constitutional rights of prisoners: the right to vote and the right to equality.

Under the Electoral Laws Amendment Act, only prisoners awaiting trial and prisoners given the option of paying a fine are allowed to vote in the April 14 election.

The Independent Electoral Commission said at the hearing there was still time to register prisoners to vote, although the voters roll had already closed.
