I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: How “Americans” Gang member was lured to his death
[The “Americans” is a coloured gang in the Cape. This gives some insight into how these gangs operate. Gangs are common among the coloured (brown) people of the Cape. There is something in their mentality that creates and sustains these gangs which often then fight each other and sometimes children die in the cross fire. Jan]
A member of the notorious Americans gang was lured into a game of soccer with three fellow gangsters – but he did not know he was already marked for death.
Afterwards they shot him in the back of the head and threw him in a ditch, the Cape High Court heard on Tuesday.
Desmond Stevens, Godwin Jansen and brothers Riaan and Ricardo Booysen all pleaded not guilty to the murders of fellow Americans gangsters Arnold Boonzaaier and Willem Arnoldus.
The state says Boonzaaier and Arnoldus were killed because they had turned state witnesses in the trial of gang leader Stevens’s son for attempted murder.
Evidence about the cold-blooded killings of Boonzaaier and Arnoldus indicates the two men had no idea their numbers were up when they visited Stevens’s Paarl home on April 21, 2002.
In chilling testimony, it was revealed by a former Americans gang member, who may not be named, that the Booysen brothers and Jansen had played soccer with Boonzaaier before killing him. They took him into the bush to smoke a Mandrax pipe before shooting him in the back of the head.
Arnoldus was shot dead at Stevens’s home, where he had expected some Mandrax, the court was told.
The witness said Boonzaaier and Arnoldus had been killed because they were state witnesses in the trial of Stevens’s son, David Petersen. Stevens was not present at Boonzaaier’s killing, he said.
After Boonzaaier was shot by Jansen and fell to the ground, Jansen passed the gun to Riaan Booysen – who then shot him several times. Ricardo Booysen also wanted an opportunity to shoot Boonzaaier, but was disappointed when the gun jammed, the witness said.
After rolling Boonzaaier’s body into a ditch, the men returned to the road outside Stevens’s house and told him that “die nommer is vol” – meaning that the murder had been completed – the witness said.
Stevens then gave the three men a “full Mandrax”, he said.
Shortly afterwards, Arnoldus approached Stevens in the street and asked him for a Mandrax pill, saying he did not have enough money to buy one.
After Arnoldus returned from a phone booth just across from Stevens’s home, the witness testified that Stevens told him, “Jou nommer maak nie vol nie” – which he explained meant that Stevens would shoot Arnoldus.
Stevens raised his .45 revolver and fired a single shot at Arnoldus at point-blank range, hitting him in the chest. Stevens passed the gun to Riaan Booysen and told him to “finish the boy that’s lying here”.
Booysen shot Arnoldus twice, and the body was carried into Stevens’s yard, the witness said.
The case continues.
