I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: The ANC"s propaganda Arm: The SABC
[Note. The SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation) is dominated by ANC appointees. The SABC is merely the ANC’s propaganda arm. Jan]
Media analysts have added their weight to the outcry by political parties regarding the decision by SABC-TV News to broadcast live the ANC manifesto launch.
They say yesterday’s broadcast gave an unfair advantage to the ruling party.
The Democratic Alliance, the Inkatha Freedom Party and the United Democratic Movement were expected to write to the Independent Communications Authority of SA today to demand that steps be taken to enforce SABC compliance with its charter.
Media analyst Mandla Seloane said: “Normally the SABC will say that because the ANC is the ruling party, anything they do is newsworthy, but we must draw the distinction between the ANC and the government.
“Given that they have covered the ANC launch, they must also give the same coverage to activities by other parties,” Seloane said.
The head of the anti-censorship programme at the Freedom of Expression Institute, Simon Ndungu, said the SABC’s decision was ill-
advised.
“They are giving undue advantage to the president of the ruling party because he (Thabo Mbeki) was speaking as the president of the party and not of the country.
“Contrary to what SABC head of news Jimi Matthews said last night (Saturday) on the news, that following an outcry by other political parties, they will only cover Mbeki’s speech, they covered the entire event including comments and music, which means it was covered as an ANC event,” Ndungu said.
On Saturday, SABC spokesperson Paul Setsetse said the coverage of Mbeki’s speech would not be uncritical. As far as SABC-TV was concerned, it was the “the first big speech in 2004 by the leader of the country”.
“The editorial team believes that in this speech the president will give the nation a sense of what is going to drive his government over the next few years.
“It is therefore judged to be an important news item which will elicit comment from a range of stakeholders,” Setsetse said.
However, the DA rejected this stance, saying Mbeki would be speaking as president of the ANC, and not of South Africa.
The DA, IFP and UDM said in a joint statement at the weekend: “If the ANC election manifesto launch is purportedly judged to have sufficient news value to merit live coverage, then the manifesto launches of the major opposition parties at election time merit the same.
“An election with only one player is no news.”
