S.Africa: TAU: The End of Commercial Farming & Secret Deals

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: TAU: The End of Commercial Farming & Secret Deals

[Note. This is a Press Release by the Transvaal Agricultural Union – the largest farming organisation in the country. It refers to Agri SA which is another farming organisation. Agri SA has consistently from the beginning been sucking up to the ANC govt. Agri SA even got all their facts wrong regarding Zim for quite a long time. Then eventually when they sent a delegation up there, they realised what was happening and changed their tune. Agri SA is an example of attempting to be liberal, co-operative and appeasing… and it gets one nowhere.

In this press release TAU asks whether Agri SA struck secret deals behind closed doors, etc. Many have tried this sort of thing in the past, and it normally fails. I, personally, am not a believer in that sort of thing because later, one gets stabbed in the back and you have no proof of your secret deals or promises. So I think TAU is doing a much better thing in their approach – being open and blunt.

I think TAU’s stand on land reform in SA is extremely important and they’re doing their best in the face of a serious problem.

Let it be said that the CFU (Commercial Farmers Union) in Zimbabwe approached the problem much like Agri SA do, and look at where it got them? It brought them nothing. So hooray for TAU for standing up to property rights.

Finally, when the constitutions of Zimbabwe and the New South Africa were negotiated before the hand-over to the respective black regimes, it was made ABUNDANTLY CLEAR, in those documents, that PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS would be respected and no white man or any other man’s property could be taken away. It had to be done on the “willing buyer, willing seller” principle and none other.

However, the blacks, in time, try to manoevre around this, and that’s already starting in SA. In the fullness of time, through trickery, backstabbing, etc they will totally wangle their way out of it. That is my firm belief. Jan]

TOO LITTLE, Too Late

TAU SA is pleased that Agri SA has come out in support of TAU SA’s
continuous standpoint and has added its concern regarding the implications
of the amendments to the Land Reform Act.

The so-called improvements to the amendments had not removed the thorn, as
was announced by some observers. In fact, TAU SA maintains that it implies
the eventual end of commercial agriculture.

TAU SA differs from Agri SA that commercial agricultural land should be
redistributed subject to political goals and the ANC, as contained in the
Strategic Plan for Agriculture and supported by its signatories, namely
Government, Agri SA and NAFU, at the peril of commercial farmers.

It is equally sad that Agri SA persists in its support for restitution and
its co-operation with the ANC in this regard, at great cost to the
commercial agriculture.

If TAU SA’s invitation for co-operation in June 2003 had been
sympathetically received, this amendment could have been halted on
September 25 at the hearings before the Portfolio Committee. A long and
expensive road now lies ahead.

The question is:
(194)Â(183)· What is negotiated with Government in secrecy and behind the scenes?

(194)Â(183)· Who is to benefit from the agreements with Government?

(194)Â(183)· What benefits for the commercial farmer has been achieved through this?

(194)Â(183)· Is commercial agriculture required only to make peace offers?

(194)Â(183)· Should commercial agriculture be made the exception regarding offers for
reconciliation, irrespective the price?

TAU SA accepts its responsibility and understands the current demands. We
suffice with the standpoint that there is no room for redistribution in
its present form, until the “willing buyer, willing seller” principle,
available government-owned land and the availability of foreign funding is
exhausted.

The recognition of property rights remains the cornerstone of any
democracy. TAU SA will do all in its powers to oppose unilateral and
unjust expropriation.
