There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: Has the Crime Tide turned?

[Note. I very much doubt the crime tide has turned. The Govt has been saying this for years – then they went and put a ban on crime statistics for a whole year. Police complained that vital depts who were keeping crime statistics were shut down. Then, a year later… hey presto… here are the new FUDGED crime stats and… guess what… they showed crime was “going down”… and here we see more of the same.

But judging by news reports, etc – crime has not gone down. Extremely violent incidents of cash-in-transit heists occurred in Johannesburg very recently. People were shot dead about 300m from where I live in one such incident recently which was on national TV.

When the fudged crime stats came out, doctors in hospitals queried the validity of the stats because they were seeing a different picture.

Next year is an election year, and no doubt this is part of the lead-up to that to say how well they’ve run the country for 10 years. Its all smoke and mirrors… Jan]

Cape Town – The number of murders and rapes in South Africa has steadily dropped over the past 18 months, and there has been a substantial decrease in the number of cash-in-transit heists, according to National Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi.

Briefing parliament’s safety and security portfolio committee on Wednesday, he said all “contact” crimes, with the exception of robbery, had decreased during the 2002/03 financial year (from April 2002 to March this year).

This had continued into the current financial year.

“(The six months from) April 2003 to September 2003 saw more significant decreases in all contact crimes, including robbery.”

The murder rate had dropped by 8.3%, rape by 2.3%, bank robberies and cash-in-transit heists by 59.3%, and hijacking by 10.8% over this period.

“Our immediate challenge is to ensure that this pattern of decreasing incidence continues during… November, December and January,” he said.

Indications were that it would.

Selebi also told MPs there had been a 13% drop in theft out of motor vehicles, a 12 drop in robbery at business premises, a 7.9% decrease in car theft and a nine percent drop in stock theft.

“This is an indication that if we continue to work in a smart way, we will be able to further decrease crime.”

Selebi said the police were now focusing on smashing organised crime syndicates.

“In the first six months of 2003 we neutralised 84 crime syndicates, and arrested 832 leaders,” he said.

This had resulted in the seizure of drugs to the value of R29.1m, motor vehicles to the value of R23.7m, and R27m in counterfeit goods.

He said 49 laboratories used by criminals to manufacture ecstasy, Mandrax and other drugs were shut down.

The crime tide had turned, and the SA Police Service now faced the challenge of shifting from reactive strategies to preventative measures.

Selebi assured members the police had the manpower to safeguard the coming elections.

“There is no doubt that we have the capacity to safeguard the elections. I can safely say now that those elections will be free of violence,” he said.
