S.African maize going to Tanzania!!

Here we are, sending hundreds of thousands of tons of maize up to Zimbabwe – and now to Tanzania as well… while, locally they want to take away the commercial farmland and give it to “peasants”. Johannesburg – The United Nation’s World Food Programme (WFP) is set to export 24 000 tons of South African white maize via the port of Durban to the Tanzanian port of Dar es Salaam in early December on a ship called the Christy, market sources have confirmed.
The export follows a tender earlier in November through which the WFP bought 24 000 tons of white maize from South African grain trader Seaboard Overseas Trading & Shipping for Tanzania, which is currently appealing for 45 000 tons of food aid.
