Baby in hospital after rape

Vaalwater – Limpopo police were searching for a 40-year-old man after a one-year-old child was raped in Vaalwater near Lephalale on Tuesday, police said on Wednesday.
Captain Malesela Ledwaba said the child was left with her elder sister when their mother went to work on Tuesday morning.
Ledwaba said the mother noticed there was something wrong when she gave the baby a bath after returning from work. The girl started crying as blood came from her vagina. The child was taken to hospital, Ledwaba said.
She is still in hospital in a serious condition.
Ledwaba said police were searching for a man to question in connection with the incident.
