Concerned Zimbabweans: Black Allies

Some good news. Its been an EXTREMELY busy week for me, with book and Zimbabwean issues coming up in a big way. But I made some important contacts, and there is a small nucleus of people ready to engage in a struggle for Zimbabwe.

I am going to be spending a lot of time on the weekend, trying to get some important stuff up about the “Concerned Zimbabweans” group here in South Africa run by a black guy.

The Zimbabwe issue is big here in SA, but it lies just under the surface. I have had two long meetings this week with people from Zim, and this is going to be an important alliance for me – and I think a lot of you will like this.

In a nutshell, we have 2 million black Zimbabweans in SA. The leader of this group, Jayjay, was telling me he has been spreading literature in SOWETO. Now, listen to this. I’ve seen this literature and will reproduce it on my website on the weekend, and give links to his e-mail address. He spread between 1,500-2,000 pamphlets in SOWETO – which are pro-White and which are warning blacks about the corruption of African governments. He gives out his cell phone and blacks may phone him. He says, 60% of black South Africans get cross with him – but 40% – agree with him!!! He was telling me how he is converting black South Africans.

There are close to 2 million black Zimbabweans in South Africa – and they could be a political force to be reckoned with. He told me, by his own efforts, all that he has done – and its pretty impressive. For a black guy with hardly any money – this guy is pulling things off.

I want to get him teamed up with Mwezi Twala – that black South African guy. These two must get out there and start working on the minds of the blacks.

I’m going to ask folks to donate money to this guy. He has an internet address. To give you an example, $30 will allow him to photocopy 1,000 pamphlets to give to blacks. I’ve already told him I’ll give him R300 ($30), to print his next 1,000. But there’s much more to tell.

This guy, by his own means, has pulled together, 1,000 black Zimbabweans who support him. Their big problem is money. Most are unemployed. But he is mananging to wangle things and he IS getting support from white South Africans. A Hotel, for example, will allow him to hold a meeting for potential donors later this month – for free. A white man in Randburg allowed him a venue to hold a meeting for his people for R420 ($42), etc.

The other meeting I had was with someone inside Zim – someone who is very brave and about to embark on something highly dangerous.

What I like, and see great possibilities for, and I’d like to ask for everyone’s support – especially folks linked to Zim – is to help these blacks kick off something so that they can go out and work one on one on the minds of other blacks in South Africa. This is CRUCIAL.

I assure you, I can see, that we can easily, throw some POLITICAL support behind this. I have some contacts, and the Zimbabweans already have some contacts, and we are bringing them together.

Also, all the conservatives and Afrikaners I know, are game for supporting blacks who want to do this. This is very important. I see a real opportunity – a huge one.

If we could mobilise 2 million black Zimbabweans in South Africa, to go to work on black South Africans, we would have a force to be reckoned with a political force that can sway an election – and our next election is less than 2 years away.

These guys need some help from whites, some hand-holding, and a bit of support, and off they go. This black guy, for example, has been fighting his private war since November 2001 – with virtually no funds. I want to start hitting all my contacts this week – everywhere – to try and rally them behind this black guy because we have the power to work on the black mind. It is an opportunity to be SEIZED now, or we may never get the chance again.

I would love to tell you more about the white Zimbabwean I met – but this person forbade me from passing things on. This is a high-profile person – a real mover and shaker – someone who is out there to make a difference. We met this week, and we had lots of common ground.

The three of us were enemies 20 years ago – but today we are on the same side.

This religious black man was telling me of how he had survived until now against all odds. He is a determined and innovative fellow. There is no question, that this guy is intelligent and can lead blacks. He needs our support.

I’m putting up a web page to him this weekend. I want to throw my support behind him and encourage everyone else to. I will show you folks what he has done. Someone of this nature needs every ounce of support we can give him.

We must, if we have brains, make an effort, to fight the battle for Zimbabwe here on South African soil. All the Zimbabweans tell me South Africa can put Mugabe out of business in 24 hours. This is a fact and we all know it. South Africa is Zimbabwe’s Achilles Heel. We must, if we are clever, make Zimbabwe, an election issue in the next election in SA in 2004. Every opposition political party will rally to smash the ANC down on this issue. If 40% of blacks in SOWETO already are on our side, then all we need is to grab the next 5% (combined with the whites, coloureds and Indians who already will stand together) – and we can put the ANC AND Mugabe out of business… at the ballot box at the next South African election.

The Zimbabwe issue is the single issue that can bring the ANC down, and if we have any initiative and any brains, we should rally every South African to the cause – and we have a ready-made army of almost 2 million black Zimbabweans here who can use their influence over other blacks and sway them to join us.

Folks, this week, my meetings showed me, that Zimbabwe may be next to dead, but the issue of Zimbabwe can be used in South Africa as a single place where we can fight not only Mugabe but the ANC too – on difficult ground where they do NOT hold the advantage.

We can most definitely, pull political parties into this, and as it is, we probably can easily arouse most public support in South Africa in our favour.

This is an opportunity to be seized – and in a peaceful way – using talking and voting – we could try to push this country in a new direction.

With each passing day, the Zimbabwe problem grows worse and worse… This can light some very serious fires in South Africa. Mugabe is a big liability to the ANC – but they are committed to him to the hilt. If we strike at their Achilles heel we can bring both the ANC and Mugabe down in one shot by electing a new government in this country.

I see a real opportunity for once folks.
