Black Millionaire says South Africa is becoming like Zimbabwe

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Black Millionaire says South Africa is becoming like Zimbabwe

Media mogul draws SA, Zim parallels

There are worrying signs that South Africa is heading down the same road as Zimbabwe, says the Mail and Guardian’s new owner, Trevor Ncube.

Addressing the Cape Town press club on Friday, the Zimbabwean publisher said: “I’m concerned about the similarities that I’m reading between South Africa and Zimbabwe, and good Lord I hope I’m wrong, because if I’m not, then South Africa is headed the direction of Zimbabwe.”

Referring to the controversial Broadcasting Amendment Bill, he said this was the type of legislation “you don’t expect in a democracy”.

The bill, tabled in Parliament on Friday, reportedly seeks to rein in the SABC’s news department by forcing its board to seek government’s approval of its “policies governing the exercise of accurate, fair and accountable reporting”.

Although he had not read the bill in detail, Ncube said he believed the principle involved was a dangerous attempt to muzzle the SABC.

It reminded him of what he had seen in Zimbabwe 10 to 15 years ago.

“One thing I can tell you, it’s not being done for the interests of protecting the freedom of the media or expression. In my view, it’s more likely to be an attempt by the authorities to control what comes out of the SABC.”

Ncube said the principle was not healthy at this point in South Africa’s development.

Drawing more comparisons with Zimbabwe, he said he was concerned about the level of intolerance from South Africa’s political elite.

“I’m concerned about this notion that if you don’t’ agree with me, you’re my enemy and I wish you all the worst.

“I’m concerned: Look at what happened between the ANC/SACP/Cosatu. I saw those things in Zimbabwe when the ruling party parted with the labour movement. When the ruling party threw out the leftists within the party….” (Note: SACP=South African Communist Party)

These signs indicated that perhaps South African could just be another African country, Ncube said.

“I hope that I’m wrong, that South Africa will not conform to the stereotype ‘independent today and ruined tomorrow’.”

Note: This particular point is what my book, Government by Deception is all about – namely, that South Africa is going to end up on the rubbish heap just like Zimbabwe. But, this time, the message is coming from a rich black businessman from Zimbabwe who has huge holdings in South Africa. He is referring to the new measures which shocked everyone and which sparked powerful debates in partliament. These measures are aimed at muzzling the SABC (South African Broadcasting Commission) which controls most TV and radio broadcasts in South Africa.
