[My good friend, Dr Chris Jordaan sent me some interesting comments on what is happening.
Before letting you read what he said, I have something to add to the theory that the axing of Zuma was planned by the “Insiders” in the ANC, and that Mbeki and this Xhosa Cabal, worked long and hard to set Zuma up for a fall.
This evening, on TV3 News at 7pm, they interviewed a Mr Vavi, a black man who holds a senior position in COSATU (Congress of S.African Trade Unions). Now COSATU, the ANC and the S.A.Communist Party make up the Tripartite Alliance. They work together. But, it appears, in this case, there is something deeper… and Inner Circle if you will, at the top of our Govt is driving this.
It should be noted that a number of affiliates of the ANC and the SA Communist Party actually stood up for Zuma at first. However, I am confident that Mbeki will try to quickly kick everyone into line so that there is no dissension. How successful he will be, remains to be seen.
But I want to go back to Mr Vavi, of COSATU. COSATU are clearly “insiders” because they are part of the Tripartite Alliance and they are normally informed of what the ANC does. However, on this occasion it seems Mbeki did something without consulting them. Since they are insiders, and they know the structures, procedures and tactics, I found Mr Vavi”s comments interesting. He said on TV that:-
(a) There was a lot of leaking of information from inside the Govt, including from the NPA (National Prosecuting Authority) directly to the media. He said this definitely shows that a planned campaign was being executed by the Govt.
(b) He said that there is no question that campaign was underway to prevent Zuma from becoming the President of S.Africa.
(c) He said Zuma is a very important person and was viewed by many as the “glue” that kept the Tripartite Alliance together. (This no doubt refers to the tension between the Xhosas and the Zulus.
It appears to me that Mbeki”s campaign, while no doubt pleasing the Liberals (who are half asleep anyway and never really know what is going on), has not been as successful in fooling many Blacks – especially Zulus – and they are going to see through this.
The comments below are from Dr Chris Jordaan, and it goes back to the historical animosity and tension between the Xhosas who dominate the ANC (Mbeki and Mandela being Xhosas), and the Zulus – who are the biggest tribe in S.Africa.
There seems to be little doubt, that the move to nail Zuma was one by the Xhosa Inner Circle. So in essence, one tribe (out of 11 – not to mention the other races), aims to control the reins of S.African politics.
One can”t help wondering if Mbeki has miscalculated on this one, and whether the Zulus will be fighting back? In theory, if the Zulus weren”t divided, there is no reason why they couldn”t be the major player in S.African politics. This might just unleash a whole new trend in S.African politics, if Zuma is determined to fight, and if people start rallying around him. Jan]

Informed sources told me that the Xhozas don”t want Zuma as President. The tribal infighting was exposed when there were links established between Zuma and Shaik with the approval of the Central committee. The SA Communist Party was also informed and the “road show” by Zuma to visit the different constituencies for support was a disinfomation campaign.
They have two years left to establish the “Xhoza Nomenklatura” (also known as the “Cabal” which is a term used in the “Islamic” culture for the “enlightened” or “informed”) as the ruling tribe.
The action of Mbeki is well praised by politicians and economists iro the

support for the Africa Plan. This is political eye wash and of no value.
Judge Squires said there was a “corrupt relationship” between Shaik and
Zuma, the same as between Madiba and Yasoob? Who started the relationship
and fed it with money, know-how and personal support? Shaik a follower of
Islam? Who”s “lord” will be with him through this troubled times?
Zuma went down as a Zulu supported by the King and the Induna”s (Chiefs) who have convinced his majesty that he was innocent. It is a well established fact in certain Afrikaner circles that a Xhoza-Zulu show-down is in the making. Sacrificing Zuma could have been a major political
mistake, but it will only enhance the ethnic schism in the black community
itself. The show must go on, but the rebels lurks behind the scene…
