Mogadishu – Grenades killed three civilians and wounded several others on Friday in a southern Somalia town, witnesses said.
Assailants hurled a grenade at a crowded market, killing two civilians and injuring a police officer, while a third was killed in a second attack in the provincial town of Baidoa, the seat of the country’s parliament.
Although nobody claimed responsibility for the attacks, rebels battling the government, Ethiopian troops and African Union peacekeepers here have been behind such attacks in the past.
