[I hope that people continue supporting Shane. I’m sure, if his CD’s are still selling that in the end, he made his money’s worth to make up for that fine of R175,000. Maybe one day Shane will write new songs that are more cunningly contrived so that Mbeki or the others can’t sue him. His Mandela song is so good, I’d love to use it as the “Anthem” for AfricanCrisis! Jan] Regarding your enquiry about Shane. He has a website, www.shane.co.za. Website is in afrikaans. Seems he still does private functions, and has cd’s for sale. He had to apologise to Mbeki and Mandela and received a fine of R175,000.00, suspended for 3 years. I remember him being interviewed on Carte Blanche a few years back, after someone gave a copy of his cd to Radio 702. I did a search on the internet and interestingly, found that Musica and a few other South African websites are selling some of his cd’s online. Although his songs are pretty vulgar, I must admit to listening to them, normally after a braai and a good few beers!
