[Here is a most interesting tale from my Crime page from someone in Cape Town. In here, it appears we can see the manner in which Mbeki and Nquakula can “prove” that crime is going down. Look at how, at a Police Station level… they have to “reach quotas”… and how they deliberately try NOT to count crimes.

In my book, Government by Deception, I mentioned that by closing down special Police units, the Government was also stopped the collection of data on crimes which those special units were doing.

And the story below shows how crimes are “mis-counted” right at the coal-face at the station level.

Also… look at how the black guy wanted to blow this white guy’s sister away… but lucky, lucky… his gun misfired! Nice people hey?? I tell you… a piece of sh*t like that… deserves the HANG MAN!! Jan]

Armed robbery and attempted murder

This happened to my sister. She went to Standard bank in Rondebosch to draw cash for a donation to the Salesian institute in seapoint. On arriving at the Salesians, she got out of her car, sudenly two black guys ran in from the street. One held the security guard at gunpoint, the other pulled a gun and held it to my sisters head and demanded the money. My sister in shock held on to the bag, so the black guy pointed the gun at her head and pulled the trigger three times. Luckily for my sister the gun was either empty or faulty as it did not go off. The guys grabbed the cash and ran off. The seapoint police did not want to log the crime as according to them, there was no one hurt, and it would make their statistics look bad. Off the record the policeman told her that they have to meet certain criteria of reduction in crime, so if they just do not log the crimes, then the bosses will assume that they are doing their work and that crime is on the decrease!!

I guess that is why our minister can say that crime is getting less. What an asshole.

In following up the case, my sister was told that the investigating officer had been transferred and that nobody knew where the case file was. She insisted on seeing the station commander and demanded a follow up. She is still waiting (2 months later) She went to the bank herself and arranged to have the video footage of the security camera saved as she was sure they had followed her from there. The police have to date not shown up to collect and investigate the footage.
